Teem Photonics is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the i-Nov 2025 Innovation Prize for its QUINTET project (QUantum INTErferomeTric devices), supported under the FRANCE 2030 program. The QUINTET project aims to develop an innovative Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) — a cornerstone technology for next-generation secure communications. Our work addresses two key challenges in quantum interferometry: achieving polarization independence and maintaining exceptionally high fringe visibility. Thanks to Teem Photonics’ ioNext technology platform, we can now design and manufacture optical interferometers with ultra-low optical losses and visibility above 99%, paving the way for high-performance QKD receiver systems. Quantum Key Distribution is a strategic pillar for national sovereignty, ensuring secure communications in an era of escalating cyber threats. Through advanced design, precise loss compensation, and flexible on-chip tuning, Teem Photonics is pushing the boundaries of integrated quantum photonics. This award highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, excellence, and long-term investment in quantum and photonic technologies. Teem Photonics also wishes to acknowledge the contribution of its partners and collaborators, whose expertise and support have been instrumental in the success of the QUINTET project.
